International Camelid Health Conference 2017

British Camelids Ltd (BCL) has once again offered to sponsor 2 members of the BVCS to attend The International Camelid Health Conference at The Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine from March 3rd – 5th, 2017.

 

There will be 20 hours of CPD, with the following confirmed outside speakers: 

Dr. Jeffrey Lakritz DVM, PhD DACVIM, the Vernon L. Tharp Professor in Food Animal Medicine, The Ohio State University, 

Dr. Claire Whitehead BVM&S, MS, DACVIM, FHEA, MRCVS, Camelid Veterinary Services, Oxfordshire, UK, 

Dr. Julie Dechant DVM, MS, DACVS, DACVECC, Associate Professor, UC Davis, Equine Emergency Surgery and Critical Care School of Veterinary Medicine, UC Davis, 

Dr. Tim Holt, DVM, Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, Certified Veterinary Manual Therapist. Clinical Associate Professor, Colorado State University, 

Dr. LaRue Johnson DVM, PhD, Professor Emeritus, Colorado State University.

There will also be a number of local speakers, including Dr Chris Cebra, with the usual mix of cutting-edge research, clinical vignettes, and practical reviews. More information will be available shortly.  

 

Please send a brief CV to secretary@camelidvets.org along with reasons why you, your clients and the camelid community in general would benefit from your attendance at this conference.  The closing date is January 20th 2017, with the successful applicants to be notified shortly afterwards, giving plenty of time for travel arrangements to be made.

Please note that you will be required to attend the BVCS Conference in October/November 2017 (at your own expense) to present a summary of what you learned, in addition to the conditions specified by BCL here.
